Most monthly sewer bills are calculated by using the previous month’s water meter usage readings as provided by Pennsylvania American Water. Minimum Operating and Maintenance Charges are based on 2400 gallons or less of water usage monthly. Over 2400 gallons is charged at $3.50 per 1000 gallons.

 

Payment of bills may be made by check, money order, outside payment drop box, Automatic Clearing House (ACH) withdrawals or pay by major credit card.  The options are outlined below:

* Payment Drop Box is located outside the Administration Building at 5585 State Route 405.  Only check or money order payments may be placed in the payment box - NO CASH.  Payments are collected twice daily.  Payments placed in box after the due date will be assessed late charges.

 

* Pay Online  This service is offered through PayPal and most major credit cards are accepted.  In addition, you can use debit cards or have the payment directly withdrawn from a personal checking or savings bank account also using PayPal.   

 

* ACH (Automatic Clearing House) is a payment system that automatically withdraws the amount of your sewer bill from your checking or savings account. Using this option will save you money in postage, and save you time by eliminating the need to write checks. It will also ensure that you do not miss a payment, saving you late fees, if you are out of town.

Generally once the MRSA processes your ACH application it will take one billing cycle for the service to be activated. At that point the Authority will automatically draft or debit the amount of your bill from your selected bank account. Until that time, please remember you will need to pay your current bill with the method you have been using to date. You will continue to receive a bill detailing your usage, amount due and amount that will be automatically deducted.
